Hellebore Journal

Fun embroidery/bookbinding project I did over the weekend using my hellebore watercolor illustration. I transferred the image to the bookbinding cotton cloth using Iron-On transfer paper from Strathmore and added some embroidered details. I bought these sheets many, many years ago from Amazon, I don't know if they still sell them.

Pot Holder

This weekend I made a quilted pot holder using two of my Bookhou's triangles fabric scraps, wool felt for the inside, a tiny piece of Kokka red polka dot fabric and a thin strip of leather. Quick, small sewing projects like this one are so satisfying.

Hello Watercolors!

It had been over a month since I last picked up my watercolors!

It feels great to be painting again in my new studio :)

Giving

There is nothing I enjoy more than putting together a little gift 

& taking my time to make the wrapping extra pretty. 

This time I gathered items for a stamping kit to give along with my book and wrapped it furoshiki style using the linen wall panel I did in collaboration with Bookhou.

Nashville Warbler

One of the wonderful things about living surrounded by trees 

is that I get frequent visits from all kinds of cute birdies like this chubby warbler. 

I have to keep my camera close by with the telephoto lens all at all times :)

Waitrose

 

My birdies flew across the Atlantic Ocean and landed at Waitrose Garden in the UK. They've been popping up in the newspaper, on several product tags, packaging and in-store displays. I you see any of them please tell them I said hi :)

We're finally living at Casa Gris! Here's a little peek at my new studio. It's the only room in the house that's in order...still lots of work to do to get the house functioning.

Bookhou + Geninne

I'm so excited to finally show you the collaboration between Arounna and me! 

It is now available at Bookhou at Home!
My original drawing was screen printed by Arounna's expert hands with white solvent free ink on 100% linen in a beautiful deep blue color. The top corners have small silver grommets to make it easy to hang. It measures approx. 17" x 20" (43 x 50 cm).

It is a limited edition run so get yours quick before they sell out :)
